Richard Marchinton is a Director & Licensed Insolvency Practitioner at Conselia, bringing over 20 years of proven expertise in guiding businesses and individuals through financial challenges. With extensive experience across a variety of sectors, Richard specialises in crafting tailored insolvency and recovery solutions that address each client’s unique circumstances.
Known for his client-focused approach, Richard delivers compassionate and transparent guidance, ensuring that every client receives the personalised support they need at every stage of the process. Whether it’s implementing corporate rescue strategies, managing liquidations, or advising on personal insolvency matters.
Pre-Appointment Co-ordinator and Administrative Assistant
Sue Carpenter joined Conselia in April 2025 as a Pre-Appointment Co-ordinator and Administrative Assistant. She brings extensive administrative experience gained across a broad range of sectors, including both corporate and not-for-profit organisations. Sue has a strong background in insolvency and business recovery, having worked with several practices in Leeds over the years.
Outside of work, Sue enjoys travelling and staying active.
Senior Case Administrator
Kaash Vaja is a Senior Case Administrator at Conselia with four years of experience in the insolvency sector. He began his career at a national independent firm in Manchester, where he developed strong expertise in case management,
particularly in Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations. In November 2024, Kaash achieved a merit in the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI), reflecting his commitment to professional development.
Trainee Case Administrator
Ben Whiteley joined Conselia in 2025 after graduating with a degree in Accounting and Finance from Newcastle University. He previously gained valuable experience as a volunteer financial assistant with Oxfam UK, supporting financial operations in a charitable context. As a Trainee Case Administrator, Ben is building a solid foundation in insolvency practice.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys golfing and working out at the gym.

Jonny Jowett is a Director at Conselia with over 18 years of experience in both corporate and personal insolvency. Throughout his career, he has been dedicated to guiding individuals and business owners through financial challenges with clarity and compassion.
With deep sectoral knowledge and a practical, empathetic approach, Jonny is known for developing strategic, tailored solutions to complex cases. His leadership is rooted in experience, insight, and a strong commitment to client care.
Outside of the office, Jonny enjoys spending time with his young family and tending to his allotment.

Philip Watts is a Case Manager at Conselia with many years of insolvency experience, having started his career at the Official Receiver’s office before moving into the private sector. His broad background provides him with a solid understanding of both statutory processes and commercial insolvency practice.
Outside of work, Philip enjoys watching cricket and football, walking a friend’s dog, and connecting with friends online via Xbox.

Richard Allen is a Senior Administrator at Conselia with over 9 years of experience in the insolvency sector. Starting his career at a boutique firm in Guiseley and then working at some of the UK’s top firms has allowed Richard to gain a wealth of experience in managing and progressing cases; predominantly Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations. Richard gained his Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency qualification at the June 2018 sitting.
In his personal life Richard plays on a local pool team, rides his motorbikes and enjoys relaxing with his Bengal cat.
